Maple Glazed Walnuts
Makes 2 cups
2 cups halved walnuts
1/3 cup real maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
Preheat
dry skillet over medium-high heat. Add ingredients and stir frequently
until syrup is caramelized and nuts are toasted, about 3 minutes. Let
cool and pack in a pretty jar or gift box.

Sugar-Glazed Walnuts
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1/4 lb, 1 stick) butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 lb. Walnut halves or large pieces (about 4 cups)

1. In the microwave, melt butter in a 1-1/2 qt. casserole dish (30 seconds to 1 minute at high).
2. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Microwave at high 2 minutes. Mix well to combine butter and sugar.
3. Add nuts and mix to coat. Microwave at high 3 to 5 minutes.
4. Spread out onto wax paper and cool slightly. Serve warm or cold.
Makes 1 pound.
